Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about our proxy infrastructure, technical capabilities, and account management.

General Information
What is a datacenter proxy and when should I use it?

A datacenter proxy is an IP address hosted in a data center, not tied to a home internet connection. It offers high speed and low latency, making it ideal for tasks like web scraping, SEO tools, ad verification, and accessing geo-restricted content.

Compared to residential proxies, datacenter proxies are cheaper and faster. They are best used for legitimate, automated tasks where performance and cost-efficiency matter.

Do you provide residential or mobile proxies?

No, HighProxies specializes exclusively in high-performance datacenter proxies. We do not provide residential or ISP proxies.

Mobile proxies are also currently unavailable, but they are under active planning and development.

What locations are available for proxies?

We offer a wide variety of locations globally, including major hubs in the USA, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

All of our available proxy locations and datacenters can be found directly on our website here: https://highproxies.com/datacenters/

Can I use your proxies for mailing?

You can use our proxies for webmail services such as Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, and Yahoo via web browsers. There are no specific limits on webmail usage.

However, for anti-spam and abuse prevention, we block ports 25 and 587 and do strictly forbid SMTP-based bulk email sending through our proxies.

What uptime and SLA do you guarantee?

We maintain an SLA-backed uptime of 99.9% across our proxy network. We continuously monitor our infrastructure 24/7 and automatically detect and replace dead or underperforming IPs to ensure stable connectivity.

What is your Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)?

Your use of HighProxies services must be legal and respectful of third-party rights. Prohibited activities include:

  • Sending spam emails or unsolicited marketing.
  • Hacking, DDoS attacks, or port scanning.
  • Identity theft or fraudulent activities.

Violations will lead to immediate account suspension. Read the full Terms of Service.

Technical Setup (HOWTO)
How do I authenticate with your proxies?

You can authenticate with our proxies using three secure methods:

  • Username & Password: Unique credentials to use in your scripts or browsers.
  • IP Authentication: Access tied to your server/office IP address (no credentials needed).
  • API Key: Programmatic access to manage proxies from your software.
How to test proxies in Linux command line interface?

You can easily use our proxies within the Linux CLI using standard tools like cURL and WGET.

Step 1: Get your server's public IP address:
curl https://api.ipify.org

Step 2: Add that IP to your Authorized IPs list in the control panel.

Step 3: Test the connection:

# Testing via WGET
http_proxy="http://IP:PORT" https_proxy="http://IP:PORT" \
wget https://www.google.com

# Testing via cURL
curl -x http://IP:PORT -I https://www.google.com/
Why am I getting Google CAPTCHAs?

The appearance of a Google CAPTCHA usually indicates that the automated traffic pattern is being flagged as suspicious. This is often caused by a high frequency of requests or too many operations performed in a short window of time from the same IP address.

Recommended Solutions:

  • Reduce Request Frequency: Implement delays between your searches to mimic human behavior more closely.
  • Rotate IP Addresses: Ensure your bot is switching between different proxies frequently to avoid hitting rate limits on a single IP.
  • Review Browser Fingerprinting: If you are using anti-detect browsers like AdsPower, double-check that your browser fingerprints (User-Agent, WebGL, etc.) are diverse and consistent.
Are your proxies compatible with HTTPS and SOCKS5?

Yes. Our proxies support HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 protocols, including full SSL/TLS encryption for secure connections. You can safely route sensitive traffic (API calls, logins) through our network without compromising security.

How many concurrent connections can I use per proxy?

You can use up to 100 concurrent connections per proxy IP address. This limit helps maintain high speed and stability across our network infrastructure.

Can I integrate your proxies into my software via API?

Yes. You can fully integrate HighProxies into your own software using our REST-style API to create proxies, check bandwidth, and manage IP authentication rules programmatically.

View integration examples for Python, Node.js, and cURL in our API Documentation.

Can I use a VPN proxy on my mobile device?

Yes. You can use both IPsec IKEv2 and WireGuard on mobile devices.

For IKEv2, use the official strongSwan app. For WireGuard, install the official WireGuard client. Both options secure your traffic over mobile data and Wi-Fi.

Billing & Account Management
What payment methods do you accept?
  • PayPal Checkout (including direct Debit/Credit cards)
  • Bitcoin & Bitcoin Cash via Blockonomics
  • Various Cryptocurrencies via Cryptomus (USDC, USDT, XMR, ETH, DOGE)
  • Bank Transfers via WISE Payments
Do you offer free trials?

No, we do not offer free trials. To maintain the highest quality IP pools and prevent network abuse or IP blacklisting, access is restricted to verified, paying customers only.

What is your refund policy?

Initial proxy orders qualify for a 3-day technical review period. Refunds are issued only if a technical impediment cannot be resolved by our engineering team (excludes social media usage bans).

Please note that VPN services and all payments made via Cryptocurrency are strictly non-refundable.

How often do you change or rotate proxies?

We sell dedicated, static proxies. However, you can ask for a free proxy replacement once per billing month (excluding the first billing month).

Please note: We only renew or change your proxies when you explicitly request it.
